Microsoft Copilot AI Chat
Microsoft Copilot AI Chat (for text and images) is available for free and uses GPT-4 technology from OpenAI. In addition, Copilot usually provides links to sources so you can check your results. (Bing Chat was renamed to Copilot in Nov 2023.)
If you are a D-E employee, you can access the Enterprise version -- Copilot with Data Protection -- by signing in using your network/MyDE d-e.org account. The Enterprise version provides extra privacy, security and data protection. Information you enter into prompts using the Enterprise version will NOT be saved by Microsoft or OpenAI nor used to train AI models. See the short video at this link for more information on data protection (or this link if you want to read a lot more details).
Microsoft Copilot with data protection is only available to D-E employees, not students. (Minimum age for use is 18.)
To use Copilot with data protection, a D-E employee needs to sign in at copilot.microsoft.com using a d-e.org email address and network password. You can confirm that data protection is enabled by looking for the green circle with a shield to the right of your email address or profile icon as indicated below.
