Screencast-O-Matic is an online service for recording screen recording on a Mac or Windows computer.  

There is a free service and a "Deluxe" paid service.  D-E subscribes to the "Team Deluxe" service as to allow faculty to use paid features.  (As of August 2022, D-E no longer subscribes to the paid service.) Basic recording can be done using the free service and the resulting video file can be saved to the local computer.  The Deluxe version allows more sophisticated editing and direct export to Google Drive.
