Blackbaud ID for Parents

In June 2022, Dwight-Englewood School began using Blackbaud ID for parent sign-ins to our school's MyDE portal.  This is a modern authentication system which uses your email address as your username so it is easier to sign in.  It also supports Sign in with Google if you are using a Gmail account, so you don't need to remember a separate password.

Once we enable your Blackbaud ID account, you'll receive an email notification prompting you to sign up for a Blackbaud ID account so that you can link your MyDE parent account with your Blackbaud ID.  If you miss the email, you'll be prompted to complete this process the next time you sign in to the MyDE portal.  We've created a short tutorial that will show you what this process looks like.  You can view it here:

Why is Dwight-Englewood making this change?

This change is being made in coordination with our website hosting company (Blackbaud) in order to migrate logins to a more modern and secure authentication system.  This system supports some important security features, such as allowing parents to optionally enable multi-factor authentication for their accounts.  Current students and employees have been using Blackbaud ID since 2019.


How do I reset my password if I don't know it?

This does NOT apply if you use the Google or Apple sign in options.  (For those, your password is managed by Google or Apple.)

What if I'm a current Dwight-Englewood employee and parent?

Dwight-Englewood employees have been using Blackbaud ID since 2019, using our Dwight-Englewood Staff and Student Single Sign-On.  You can continue to sign in to your MyDE account as you do now.
